the greatest 99 cents i spent today!!

so i just found the best thing ever for a dollar and to cure those dry, cold 0 degree days.  (the warmest it was at my house today was 15 degrees farenheit....)

presenting:

Nivea Creme.  incredible. thick mousse of a hand cream.  only 99 cents for this little tin at walgreens.  it looks like a rip off of only this tiny bit of product, but let me tell you that i just dipped my index finger in it and was able to coat both my hands entirely with that tiny bit.  HALLELUJAH let it be known that for all cold months i now will bow down to the cheaep awesomeness that the Nivea gods have descended onto us.

shiro and eos and other products that are worth every cent

hello there!  so here is a rambling of some incredible products that i am in love with.  first up, loose eye shadows from shiro cosmetics.  i entered a halloween contest through Suite Ta Bu and won! (woo) and the prize was this ultimate pack of loose eyeshadow samples.  Shiro Cosmetics is vegan and awesome.  the names of the shadows are like 'pikachu' or 'lance the drago tamer' and they are sooo great.  the sparkle in them doesn't wear off, in comparison to MAC mineralized eye shadows, which don't last long at all.  check them out at shirocosmetics.com
next up, EOS (evolution of smooth) lip balm is HEAVEN.  especially in this dry, cold weather we've been havving. brrr.  the summer fruit smell is a nice break from the doldrums of winter. (boo)  and it's only like $2.  which ain't bad, honey.
and finally, i've been loving my maybelline mascaras.  volum' express, the one with the fancy apostrophe, just came out with one by one.  it's right at the top of my list with the falsies.  seriously does what it promises it does,  which is more than i can say for most of maybelline's other productos.

tutorial mode and review mode for myself has been on hold.

i got rubie's character makeup IN my SINUS' somehow and i had an infection from the makeup.  real genius huh.  well yeah, it will be back on track soon. :)

tutorial madness

i just realized now how many videos i have to edit today and tomorrow.  so far the list is: zebra eyes, cheetah eyes, vampire theatrical, black swan inspired, halloween using mineral makeup contest video, and some others that i can't remember off of the top of my head.  i like making the videos, but the editing takes so long.  things you do for the love of makeup. hahaha. exactly.  i want to do some 'good bad and ugly' reviews on products.  leave a comment of things you'd like to see reviewed :)

did some tutorials yesterday and today and will spend most of tomorrow editing. party time.

maybelline booooo

so i had this really awesome friend lend me her face for a video contest i wanted to enter, and it already ended.  oh well.  i reallllllly wanted to do it too, so i will edit the video and upload it to youtube instead.  www.besensationalandwin.com is the site i'm referring to.  that is all for now.

a new start

so i've decided to start a blog about makeup, beauty, new york city adventures, living life and everything else in between.  i'm not a fan of capital letters, so sorry if you're a grammar nut.  i am a makeup artist in CT and LOVE doing other people's makeup and creating characters.  i've seen more than 30 boadway shows and have worked on one staged musical for makeup so far.  i love it.  and i want to share my love with the world.  i've seen and made videos on youtube and most products that people use are so expensive.  but being a makeup diva doesn't have to cost as much as your first house.  i will be doing reviews and tutorials on my youtube channel : youtube.com/msdrugstorebeauty and i will write up some reviews and side by side comparisons.  now, understand me, not everything that is in a drug store is worth the cheapness and poor quality...it's what you do with them.  that's why i'm here, to help.  i will include a few must haves from ulta and sephora and so on every now and then, but mostly i'm a fan of covergirl and l'oreal.  most definitely.  so yeah, please follow and tell your friends!! and don't forget to follow me on facebook, twitter AND youtube for all different types of info (reviews, tutorials, general blurbs of awesome) and........
